Pet friendly walks on the Isle of Wight

With a coast path that winds its way around the island for more than 64 miles, there are pet friendly walks on the Isle of Wight aplenty. Dogs love the wide open spaces at Tennyson Down in Freshwater, and it’s one of the island’s most spectacular vantage points. Perched on top of the white cliffs, the monument can be seen for miles, and if you don’t mind that it’s a bit of an uphill walk on the way, the views are incredible.

It’s not all about the coast though, and if you head inland you’ll find forests and parkland that’ll have your pet in his element. Combley Great Wood’s made up of several smaller woodlands, and that means plenty of space for your pet to stretch his legs and have a sniff around. Or, over on the west of the Wight, you can follow the old railway track from Yarmouth to Freshwater, and this route has a dog friendly pub at either end!
