Huskies love to chat, sing and howl with both their human pals and other dogs. They take after their wolf ancestors, with howling as a form of communication with their pack.
If a Husky is howling at you, he probably sees you as part of the family, which has to be good news! Sometimes these howls sound very much like human speech aswell. Perhaps they are trying to tell us something!
Its all very cute, but no doubt they can overdo it sometimes and keep their owners awake at night and on a positive note, burglars away. How do the young of the breed learn to howl, is it genetic or are they taught to howl in unison? Check the video if you are thinking of having husky pups!
